MASTER'S LEAGUE HOME
General Info:

Overview:
The goal of Master's & Grand Master's Leagues is to provide the Utah Lacrosse Community with an opportunity for post high school & post collegiate participation in the sport in a more age/skill appropriate environment than just Men's League, and to allow participating players of all skill levels & ages to continue enjoying the game. The IMLAX Master's League is a 30 and older league (anyone turning 30 in the current year is eligible). The Grand Master's League is for anyone 40 and older (must be turning 40 in the current league year to be eligible) The leauge is semi-competitive, yet fun and relaxed atmosphere for players from all across the state. Teams are generally composed of a mix of all different skill levels & ages (30 - 60+)! From dad's who never played and now coach their kids team to individuals who played Division 1 lacrosse many years ago. Although the atmosphere is fun loving and relaxed, games are competitive, fast paced, and full contact. Win/loss records are kept in order to determine post season and championship play for the most successful teams each season.

The league generally consists of 6+ teams, with average roster sizes around 20 players. All teams are guaranteed 8 total games. Depending on the size of the league in a given year teams should expect to play at least 6 regular season games + playoffs with one game per week throughout the season.
Games:
Location and schedules will be given to the players prior to the start of each season. Each game is officiated by 2 referees. The games consist of running-time 12 minute quarters, with 2 minute breaks between quarters and a 4 minute half time. Each team is allowed 1 time out per half. A team must have at least 8 players from its official roster, including a goalie, to start a game. If at least 8 players including the goalie are not present, a team forfeits the game. Any team forfeiting more than 3 regular season games will be disqualified from post season play.
